Senior Systems Engineer Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on support across our data center operations, ensuring effective development, maintenance, support, and optimization of key functional areas, like Windows server operations, monitoring, virtualization, and cloud-based technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure support, server technologies, and the ability to efficiently manage vendor relationships.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities
- Provide support for our global data center environment including Windows server technologies, VMware, VEEAM, and general server/datacenter maintenance
- Offer immediate 3rd level server support for issues escalated by various teams
- Implement patching and proactive maintenance plans while developing best practice maintenance protocols
- Proactively monitor systems, act on alerts, and review/revise thresholds/alerts for infrastructure stability
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and troubleshooting using best practice techniques and processes
- Support, maintain, create, and update associated documentation and standard operating procedures
- Identify, document, and uphold systems policies, standards, and procedures
- Plan and lead projects to assess, optimize, and proactively manage enterprise and client systems
- Ensure timely and proficient completion of support requests, projects, and tasks
- Be available for evening and weekend work as required for maintenance and project activities
- Lead infrastructure projects as a technical resource and develop detailed execution plans
Requirements
- 5+ years of equivalent work experience, including infrastructure support and operational excellence
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere 6.x, Windows Server, and SAN technologies (NetApp, HP Nimble)
- Competency in Microsoft Operating Systems Server 2008-2019, PowerShell, Exchange 2010-2019, and Office 365
- Background in Active Directory, VEEAM, SCOM 2012-2019, and Networking (LAN and WAN)
- Skills in DNS, DHCP, and experience working with HP Server and Blade class machines
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code using AWS CLI, Google Cloud Command shells
- Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their components
- Experience with backup tools like Veeam Backup and Replication, Cloud Endure, and CloudRanger
- Capability to use PowerShell and C# to create runbooks in System Center Orchestrator
Nice to have
- VCP-DCV 6.0/6.7 or later certification
- Strong experience in Microsoft Exchange 2016 or later and Office 365
- Microsoft certifications in Windows and Active Directory
