Senior Python Developer Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for modernizing and securing our Python environment, as well as maintaining and improving our Python tooling and libraries across various platforms.

Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate the current state of Python usage within the organization
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to identify and document the scope of Python applications
- Devise strategies for creating a modern, secure Python environment, including packaging and deployment on platforms such as Kubernetes, Windows, and Mac
- Work with the Security team on Python environment deployment, configuration, and system scanning
- Ensure a secure approach for managing Python libraries
- Engage in the creation, review, and updating of standards and documentation
- Evaluate current tools and integrate security scanning tools such as Twistlock, Linting, Coverity, and BlackDuck in CI/CD processes for Python
- Manage Artifactory integration for Python versions and evolve scanning processes for malware in Python libraries
- Develop processes and documentation for incorporating new libraries into PyPi and new Python versions into PyEnv repository
- Establish policies for blocking Python library downloads from PyPi
- Manage the open-source approval process for Python modules and libraries, including intake and review
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role
- Proficiency in CI/CD with a strong background in Grafana and Splunk
- Expertise in Kubernetes and familiarity with PyPy
- Knowledge of Twistlock scanning, Linting, Coverity scanning, and SonarQube specific to Python code
- Experience with BlackDuck integration in CI/CD for Python
- Capability to manage Artifactory integrations and the process of updating Python libraries and versions
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
