We are seeking an Application Support Maintenance Engineer to join our developer team in handling a suite of applications developed using .NET and JavaScript technologies.

The role involves a range of responsibilities focused on application maintenance, support, and enhancements to deliver high-quality solutions for transportation resource websites serving Canadian citizens.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues to identify and resolve critical IT incidents efficiently
• Manage service improvement by examining potential areas and recommending effective solutions
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of IT incidents by coordinating with development teams and stakeholders
• Monitor application performance and optimize using tools like Azure App Services and Azure App Insights
• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Services and IIS Web Server to ensure smooth application operation
• Enhance and upgrade existing applications to meet user demands and system requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and conform to best practices
• Analyze npm errors and streamline JavaScript application functionality
• Document troubleshooting steps and incident resolutions using Confluence and Jira
• Implement and oversee monitoring solutions using tools like OpsBridge and Site24/7

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in Application Support
• Background in ITSM
• Proficiency in .NET technologies including ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core
• Skills in JavaScript and familiarity with npm error analysis
• Competency in managing IIS Web Server and Windows Services
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure App Services, and Azure App Insights
• Understanding of troubleshooting and support in an application maintenance environment
• Fluency in English at the B2 level

Nice to have

• Qualifications in Node.js
• Experience with Contentstack, Cloudinary, and Vercel
• Familiarity with Azure functions and Azure DevOps
• Capability to use monitoring tools such as OpsBridge and Site24/7
• Proficiency in managing a Microsoft SQL Database
