Business Analyst Description

Responsibilities
- Monitor the ticketing system, analyze incidents and requests from end-users, and respond or escalate accordingly
- Identify and resolve application issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for improvements
- Support workflows and provide expert knowledge on workflow designs
- Plan and facilitate requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations
- Lead review sessions for completed business/functional requirements with key business users to gain consensus and final approval
- Build and maintain strong relationships within business units and support functions
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Ensure that proposed solutions enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes
- Participate in the development and planning of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test plans and scripts
- Facilitate UAT execution phase and work with business lead and project manager to obtain user acceptance test signoff
Requirements
- 2+ years of business analysis experience in the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry
- Proficiency in policy administration solutions and familiarity with integration to external systems
- Background in using GuideWire, agile methodologies, SDLC & PMLC processes
- Experience writing business requirements, functional requirements or user stories, business process diagrams, and data rules
- Understanding of IT solutions for business process improvements automation
- Capability to troubleshoot system issues effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to self-manage, function with ambiguity and ensure task completion
- Competency in using Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint and UI mockup tools
