We are looking for a seasoned Senior Java Developer to become an integral part of our dynamic team.

In this position, you will employ your profound Java and Spring Boot technical knowledge on an eCommerce platform designed with a MACH architecture, engaging with CommerceTools and backend operations on SAP. Your duties will include taking on a leadership role during the development process, managing performance, and ensuring the functionality of the code is at its best.

Responsibilities

• Advance development efforts and provide guidance to less experienced team members
• Work with stakeholders to establish specifications and weave business requirements into technical architectures
• Develop, construct and preserve efficient, reusable, and dependable Java code
• Uphold and refine robust performance management systems
• Detect and resolve bottlenecks and bugs, and propose solutions for their mitigation
• Oversee code reviews and improve coding standards and practices
• Enhance the application for utmost speed and scalability
• Facilitate the ongoing enhancement of the development lifecycle with the adoption of new tools and technologies
• Handle the deployment and assimilation of new modules or features
• Uphold code integrity and organization using diverse tools and methodologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proven capability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Qualifications in MACH Commerce, including Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless
• Background in working with CommerceTools
• Expertise in performance management, debugging, and code optimization (Site Reliability Engineering - SRE)
• Experience in creating scalable and high-performance software systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to accommodate new technologies and frameworks
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle

• Familiarity with Contentful
• Competency in Microsoft Azure
