Data Software Engineer Description
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team and help us execute our ambitious vision.
As a Data Engineer, you will align application design with business goals, as well as develop and test software. Our client is a leading global wealth management firm providing comprehensive financial advice, solutions, and services to affluent clients worldwide.
This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw (with a flexible number of hours in the office)

Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements to inform application design
- Design, develop, and deploy applications
- Define application objectives and functionality, align application design with business goals
- Troubleshoot production issues, including root cause analysis, debug and resolve technical issues
- Identify and recommend improvements for application efficiency and performance
- Produce detailed design documentation
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies
- Take ownership of the end-to-end release process for changes you are responsible for
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with SQL and programming languages (preferably Java)
- Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure including services like Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory
- Experience with Databicks
- Data pipeline design and implementation on Spark (or any other distributed big data processing engine – Flink, Trino etc.)
- Strong understanding of the full SDLC life cycle and best practices in software engineering
- Experience working in Agile methodology
- Experience AKS (or any other Kubernetes provider)
- Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level
Nice to have
- Familiar with Kafka, Delta Lake is a big plus
- Experience with Java 17 with a focus on data processing and analytics applications
