Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy secure authentication and authorization solutions using Okta
Configure and manage Okta integrations with various on-premises and cloud-based applications
Establish and maintain Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Adaptive Authentication policies
Work closely with IT security to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain technical documentation related to Okta configurations and processes
Provide Tier 2/3 support for Okta-related issues and act as a point of escalation for the help desk team
Conduct regular system audits to ensure the integrity and security of Okta configurations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Stay up to date with the latest Okta features and technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Participate in the creation and delivery of Okta training materials for end-users and IT staff

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Okta or similar IAM platforms
Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory, Entra ID and LDAP
Understanding of IT security best practices and familiarity with compliance regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation of tasks and integration purposes
Capability to manage API usage and knowledge of API management
Solid understanding of IAM concepts including identity lifecycle management, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and directory services
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
English proficiency at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Administrator or Okta Certified Consultant
Familiarity with Okta Workflows
Experience with other security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools
Hands-on experience performing upgrades from Okta Classic version to OIE version
Familiarity with identity standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
