We are looking for a skilled Ruby on Rails Engineer to maintain and enhance the payment platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for integrating new payment providers, ensuring security, and developing new functionalities. While Ruby on Rails is the core requirement, experience with JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Vue.js, Angular, Node.js) is a strong plus. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain the payment platform while integrating additional payment providers
• Enhance and develop functionalities to boost platform performance and scalability
• Build and support diverse APIs and SDKs for checkout systems using BigCommerce or WordPress
• Adapt SaaS e-commerce solutions to align with specific business needs
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform for deployment and infrastructure oversight
• Coordinate with engineers, product owners, designers, business stakeholders, and external partners
• Adhere to best practices for security, performance, and maintainability
• Operate independently with high efficiency while promoting effective team collaboration

Requirements

• Background in Ruby on Rails with at least 4 years of professional experience
• Understanding of Scala at an intermediate level or openness to learning it, along with experience in PHP 8
• Hands-on competency in deploying and managing infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency in leveraging tools like Prometheus, Sentry, and Kibana
• Skills in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular
• Familiarity with Node.js for backend services, seen as a strong advantage
• Outstanding English communication abilities to work seamlessly with global, cross-functional teams
• Participation in on-call support rotation is required
