EPAM is expanding our European Delivery Function in Belgium and is looking for a Senior Solution Architect who brings a comprehensive blend of technical and consultative skills to drive and support our technology strategy conversion, ensuring alignment with business objectives for our various industry focused clients in the region.

The role requires a background in solution architecture, technology consulting, client engagement and stakeholder management. You must have the ability to engage in opening discussions, identify technology needs, recommend the right technology choices and deliver cutting edge solutions.

Responsibilities

Play a key role in our Belgium business by leading the implementation of Architecture solutions from establishing project requirements and goals, to solution "go-live”, across different industry sectors
Use your experience as a hands-on technologist to demonstrate strong credibility in aligning closely with EPAM’s wider leadership teams to help shape the business/technology/strategic direction and footprint across client projects with varying degrees of maturity
Find the right balance between innovation, technical feasibility and long-term sustainability
Partner with multi-disciplinary teams including architecture, technology consulting, delivery management, product management and development teams across different geographies
Provide technical governance, architectural review, audit, architectural road-mapping and proactively develop and implement efficiency improvements
Create and present POCs, architecture proposals as well as provide pre-sales and RFP support within the framework of a technology consultancy
Direct our technology consultancy efforts in pre-sales pursuits, create and present architecture proposals and proof-of-concepts as required
Lead wider team members providing them with guidance and direction to grow and thrive
Represent EPAM at internal and external conferences, enhancing our visibility and thought leadership in the region

Requirements

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or relevant work experience)
Fluent English speaker as well as either Dutch or French
Proven experience acting as a hands-on Senior Solution Architect with a strong foundation in software development, platform delivery, architecture design, digital transformation and comfortable partnering with teams up to CxO level
Experience in a one or two industry sectors (Retail or Insurance being a strong advantage) with excellent understanding of major functional capabilities and common platform solutions across those sectors
Experience with Microservice based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services
Able to act as a SME to link technology with business value for large-scale complex transformation projects whilst guiding clients through the right technology choices suitable to their short and long term goals for the ultimate success of their business
Strong experience in managing and leading teams of experts in architecture, technology consulting and design engagements
Pre-sales experience with the ability to act in an advisory capacity to senior level client management whilst executing and leading on rapid conceptual designs, proof-of-concepts and client presentations
