Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
- Define, design, and implement software solutions using a modern technology stack
- Showcase solutions and explain business value to stakeholders during sprint showcases
- Work in configuration activities to support data integration initiatives
- Maintain a balance between independent work and team collaboration as needed
- Apply agile methodologies to deliver quality products iteratively
- Drive improvements in data engineering processes and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
- More than 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in SQL, including creating views, stored procedures, and functions
- Background in data modeling with a focus on best practices
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analysis
- Understanding of data warehouse principles and architecture
- Familiarity with AWS and its data-related services
- Experience in Python, particularly for ETL tasks using Pandas and NumPy
- Capability to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Bitbucket/GitHub and Bamboo
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Background in financial systems and reporting, focusing on investments accounting or general ledger
- Knowledge of integrating large-scale ERP or financial investment systems
- Competency in delivering data solutions using AWS tools such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda through agile methodologies
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting platforms
- Skills in agile practices, including story estimation and sprint planning
