Senior Application Support Engineer Description

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in resolving application and platform incidents for our clients. You will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operations.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 level 2 application support for a variety of applications
  • Monitor applications and handle alerts from monitoring systems
  • Resolve incidents, determine problems, implement workarounds, and conduct root cause analysis
  • Participate in Major Incident Handling bridge calls
  • Collaborate with support team members to address client needs
  • Adapt to changing client requirements and respond to team lead's direction
  • Document incidents and resolutions in a clear and concise manner

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in application support
  • Logical mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding and practical usage of SQL
  • Experience working with Linux command line
  • Basic knowledge of any cloud providers, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, minimum B1 level

Nice to have

  • Practical experience with ServiceNow or a similar IT Service Management tool
  • Experience with New Relic or a similar monitoring tool
  • Familiarity with incident management processes
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and routing
  • Competence to read and understand source code in any programming language
