Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using a modern technology stack
- Demonstrate solutions and articulate business value to business partners during sprint showcases
- Engage actively in configuration to support data integration efforts
- Work independently when required while maintaining a collaborative team spirit
- Utilize agile methodologies to iteratively deliver high-quality products
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the data engineering processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
- Expertise in SQL, including programming views, stored procedures, and functions
- Background in data modeling with a strong emphasis on best practices
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and analysis
- Understanding of data warehouse fundamentals and architecture
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and its data-related services
- Experience in Python, particularly with ETL tools like Pandas and NumPy
- Capability to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using BitBucket/GitHub and Bamboo
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with financial systems and reporting, particularly in investments accounting or general ledger
- Knowledge of integrating large-scale financial investment or ERP systems
- Demonstrated experience delivering data solutions via agile methodologies using AWS resources such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Lambda
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions
- Experience in agile software development practices including story sizing and sprint planning
