Senior Platform Engineer with Go Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer with Go to join a project for our client. This role entails developing and maintaining a Kubernetes-based platform, enabling other engineering teams within the organization to deploy secure, reliable and scalable applications.
The position also includes responsibilities for on-call duty on a week shift, expected every 4-5 weeks (12/7).
This position offers hybrid setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Lithuania, whether it's your home or our dynamic offices in Vilnius and Kaunas.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software using Golang, with a focus on building efficient and scalable applications
- Manage and deploy application on Kubernetes, ensuring optimal performance and stability
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the platform meets the requirements and supports the development needs
- Participate in on-call duty, providing support and resolving issues as they arise
- Monitor the performance and condition of the production platform, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks
- Work closely with the team to design and implement Kubernetes operators for efficient application management
- Use Crossplane to improve and automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and automated deployment processes
- Design and develop RESTful APIs, adhering to best practices for performance, security, and scalability
- Utilize OpenAPI to produce REST clients and documentation, facilitating user-friendly access for other teams or external stakeholders
Requirements
- 3+ years in Golang development
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience in developing and managing applications on Kubernetes
- Competency in using Crossplane
- Skills in writing RESTful APIs, familiarity with writing OpenAPI specifications
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Experience with writing Kubernetes operators
- Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud providers
- Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions or similar tools
- Understanding of Cloud Native and observability tools, including Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Background in supporting critical production services

Salary range €3.5K-€5.5K gross, based on your experience and interview results.
