We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering cloud infrastructure solutions for a high-impact Sales Data Platform in the energy trading and sales industry. In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, including Solution Architects, existing Cloud Engineers, and cross-functional IT teams, to build and optimize an advanced cloud ecosystem on Azure, leveraging cutting-edge tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the program's Solution Architect to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
• Set up and configure Azure Synapse, Microsoft Purview, and other Azure services following industry best practices
• Automate deployment and configuration of cloud services using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
• Partner with the Infra IT team to create and review pull requests for cloud infrastructure updates
• Work closely with the Info Sec/Firewalls team to implement security adjustments and governance standards
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
• Assist in setting up and configuring Databricks environments with a focus on automation, best practices, and support
• Design and implement policies and controls to ensure high levels of cloud security, networking, and compliance
• Facilitate the migration of legacy systems to Azure, optimizing for performance and scalability
• Use tools like Kusto and dashboarding platforms to set up alerts and recommend appropriate metrics for cloud monitoring
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and ways of working to deliver iterative improvements to the platform

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering
• Expertise in Terraform (advanced level), Azure Synapse, and Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview with experience in automating deployment and configuration
• Skills in Azure Databricks infrastructure setup and automation, plus an understanding of its best practices
• Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and maintaining them using industry standards
• Background in networking, identity management, and security within an Azure ecosystem
• Competency in Azure services such as Storage, Networking, Monitoring, and Identity management
• Showcase of experience working on 2-3 Big Data Platform projects integrating Databricks, Synapse, Purview, and PowerBI
• Flexible understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative ways of working
• B2 level of English or higher, with an emphasis on technical communication skills

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Fabric infrastructure setup
• Familiarity with Kusto queries or equivalent tools to create alerts and monitor metrics
• Understanding of dashboard tools and expertise in defining key metrics to measure platform effectiveness
