We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Kotlin, Spring Boot 3+, and Kubernetes, and a passion for building high-performance, cloud-native applications. You will be developing modern, scalable backend services with a focus on reactive programming using Spring WebFlux.

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll work alongside DevOps engineers, product owners, and fellow developers to create and deploy microservices in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot 3+
• Implement reactive programming paradigms using Spring WebFlux for high-performance applications
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate services with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases
• Implement asynchronous messaging using RabbitMQ
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with DevOps to maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Leverage AWS services to support cloud-based deployments
• Monitor and optimize service performance using Datadog and other observability tools
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code following best practices and participate in regular code reviews

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Kotlin programming with 3+ years of experience
• Significant hands-on experience developing with Spring Boot 3+ and Spring WebFlux
• Proven experience with Kubernetes for application orchestration and deployment
• Experience utilizing Java versions 18 or 21
• Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB database systems
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or comparable message queuing technologies
• Proficiency in Docker and the development of containerized applications
• Experience working with AWS cloud environments
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Expertise in version control practices and collaborative development using GitHub
