Chief DevOps Engineer Description

Responsibilities

  • Deploy microservices in a CI/CD CodePipeline environment through scripting, testing, and backup procedures
  • Define measurable KPIs to evaluate the performance of DevOps Engineers
  • Oversee automated build workflows using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub
  • Establish and implement automated real-time application monitoring solutions
  • Analyze database logs and develop system performance benchmarks
  • Ensure high availability and robust security for database architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 7 years’ experience in DevOps roles
  • Background in cloud-driven DevOps ecosystems
  • Understanding of essential DevOps principles, including security, scalability, and reliability
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for configuration, deployment, and management
  • Proficiency in CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins
  • Knowledge of Azure Log Analytics or comparable monitoring frameworks
  • Flexibility to operate within an Agile environment
  • Competency in English for both oral and written communication
  • Strong analytical skills and sound decision-making abilities

Nice to have

  • Expertise in systems like Active Directory and AWS
  • Knowledge of Microservice Architecture Style
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including PowerShell or Bash
  • Skills in programming languages such as Ruby or Python
