Responsibilities
- Design security infrastructure focused on Amazon Web Services and cloud-native security tools
- Optimize security tools and processes utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Evaluate and manage potential points of exposure to cyber threats
- Analyze output from security software and tools to generate actionable insights and reports
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the security of development environments and advise on product security
- Partner with cyber analysts and security engineers to create threat models, detections, and incident response playbooks while refining tooling to strengthen security intelligence
- Enhance and deploy enterprise-wide security technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, HIDS/NIDS, PKI, SSO, IAM, and Privileged Access Management
- Improve CrowdStrike EDR tools and SOAR platforms for more efficient security operations
- Strengthen the security of containerized environments, such as Kubernetes
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role with proficiency in Amazon Web Services, scripting languages, Terraform, and CloudFormation
- Background in enterprise-scale security technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, HIDS/NIDS, PKI, SSO, IAM, and Privileged Access Management
- Knowledge of CrowdStrike or comparable Endpoint Detection and Response tools (e.g., Carbon Black, Tanium, or OSQuery)
- Familiarity with Security Orchestration and Automated Response platforms and workflow automation tools for incident response
- Skills in container technologies like Kubernetes and associated security tools
- Understanding of risk assessment and remediation strategies to address security gaps
- Competency in collaborating across functions to advocate for security measures and align technical and business priorities
Nice to have
- Background in penetration testing
- Knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance practices
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certifications
