Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, and assess the current database architecture and infrastructure
- Provide recommendations for best practices and advanced technical solutions tailored to modernizing legacy database systems
- Supervise improvements, architectural overhauls, infrastructure updates, schema design, and data modeling processes
- Coordinate data migration efforts and real-time replication activities
- Collaborate with team members to develop cohesive database design strategies
- Execute performance testing and tuning to optimize database effectiveness
- Identify underlying causes of performance deficiencies and implement solutions
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years in software design and development
- At least 5 years as a Sybase production Database Administrator with hands-on experience
- 2 or more years of leadership experience in related roles
- Expertise in database architecture and configuration practices
- Familiarity with general database design and development concepts
- Experience managing very large databases or engaging in data warehousing projects
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher (written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
