Oversee complex projects with a focus on scalability, performance, and innovation

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs

Guide development and testing teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical requirements

Collaborate with architects and other technical leads to define system solutions and integration strategies

Create proof-of-concept applications and prototype new features or frameworks

Drive Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and enhance the team's testing strategy

Ensure code quality, adherence to development processes, and automation practices

Handle day-to-day system development tasks to meet established SLAs

Evaluate risks, benefits, and constraints for proposed solutions in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders

Support continuous learning efforts and quickly adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and tools

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in Java development

At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience

Background in REST APIs and Spring Boot

Proficiency in Jenkins, Git, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Strong background in microservice architecture, infrastructure, and cloud platforms

Experience in implementing and promoting Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices

Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases

Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines

Flexibility to work 2-3 times per week at the client's office in Lisbon (Saldanha)

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (B2+ level or above)
