Responsibilities
- Build, refine, and implement cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms designed for supply chain needs, including demand forecasting, inventory management, network design, and logistics optimization
- Collaborate with Supply Chain engineering teams to gather insights into their workflows, technical limitations, and data requirements
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from defining challenges and analyzing data to deploying models and monitoring their performance
- Leverage expertise in Generative AI to design applications that incorporate AI capabilities
- Utilize skills in time-series analysis, forecasting, and statistical modeling to analyze supply chain data and external datasets
- Conduct comprehensive data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancing supply chain operations
- Deliver insights, findings, and technical concepts to diverse audiences using clear presentations and visualizations
- Stay informed on advancements in AI and supply chain technologies, experimenting with new methods and approaches
- Create and implement solutions for batch and real-time algorithms, including tools for monitoring, logging, automated testing, performance evaluation, and A/B testing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a specialization in supply chain applications
- At least 1 year of experience leading and managing development teams
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as experience with machine learning tools such as MLFlow
- Advanced knowledge of both relational SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Rust, along with experience in machine learning frameworks and libraries
- Deep understanding of supply chain concepts, processes, and data structures
- Demonstrated ability to deploy data science solutions that enhance supply chain performance
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and analytical thinking for addressing complex challenges creatively
- Strong communication skills, enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for keeping up with industry advancements and sharing knowledge within the team
- Practical experience with Generative AI services and open-source models
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage projects and drive them to completion
- Proven ability to excel in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with distributed computing tools like Spark
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, with hands-on experience in developing complex AI systems
