Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain efficient and scalable back-end code
- Design and implement microservices and RESTful APIs to fulfill business needs
- Perform comprehensive unit testing to ensure code reliability and functionality
- Review code to uphold quality standards and ensure consistency across the development process
- Advocate for best practices such as unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration workflows
- Engage in SCRUM ceremonies to ensure alignment with team objectives and project deadlines
- Contribute to project planning and estimation to deliver tasks on schedule
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with peers to foster a culture of learning and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Experience building applications using Spring Boot
- Hands-on expertise with JUnit for unit testing
- Knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Practical understanding of SQL for database management and operations
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in wealth management
- Knowledge of Spring Batch for managing batch processing workflows
- Familiarity with Java Microservice Infrastructure
- Understanding of architectural patterns for microservices
- Experience working with MongoDB for database management
