Responsibilities
- Perform manual accessibility evaluations for web and mobile platforms based on WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards
- Provide actionable and clear recommendations to address accessibility issues
- Develop VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) and tailored accessibility reports
- Collaborate effectively in team settings and take initiative independently
- Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clients on accessibility compliance and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed accessibility in the development process
- Provide mentorship to colleagues on accessibility principles and tools
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in roles focused on accessibility, including testing and audits
- 1+ years experience in leadership roles
- IAAP CPACC or WAS certification required
- DHS Trusted Tester certification preferred
- Proficiency in German, French, Dutch, Portuguese, or Italian (not native fluency)
- English language proficiency of B2 or higher
- Deep knowledge of WCAG (2.1/2.2) and its practical implications, addressing user needs
- Expertise in HTML/CSS and WAI-ARIA, emphasizing accessibility
- Background in PDF accessibility is advantageous
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas effectively
