Responsibilities
- Review, analyze and document existing database architecture and infrastructure
- Recommend best practices and optimal technical approaches for modernizing a legacy database system
- Oversee upgrades, re-architecture, infrastructure, schema design and data modeling
- Manage data migration and real-time replication processes
- Collaborate with team members on database design initiatives
- Conduct performance testing and tuning to ensure database efficiency
- Perform root cause analysis and address performance issues
Requirements
- 6+ years of software design and development experience
- 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Sybase production Database Administrator
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expert level proficiency in database architecture and configuration
- Understanding of general database design and development principles
- Experience with very large databases and/or data warehousing
- Proficient English (written and spoken) at B2 level
