Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to align database solutions with business goals
- Convert business requirements into scalable and efficient data models
- Lead design reviews and governance initiatives to ensure database best practices
- Plan and forecast database capacity to meet current and future needs
- Design and implement data lifecycle management and archival strategies
- Support enterprise architecture and contribute to digital transformation initiatives
- Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging database technologies
- Apply IT Operations Management (ITOM) frameworks in database management
- Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver database solutions
- Ensure databases comply with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working with Oracle databases
- Proficiency in database modeling tools such as ERWIN and ER/Studio
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR, ASH, and Dynatrace
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and migrations, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC)
- Experience with ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, or Talend
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git or SVN
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL databases
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher
