Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to align database solutions with business goals
- Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data models
- Lead design reviews and governance initiatives to ensure database best practices
- Plan and forecast database capacity to meet current and future needs
- Design and apply data lifecycle management and archival strategies
- Support enterprise architecture and contribute to digital transformation initiatives
- Investigate, assess, and implement new database technologies
- Utilize IT Operations Management (ITOM) frameworks in database administration
- Participate in Agile/Scrum workflows to deliver database solutions
- Ensure database compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Oracle databases
- Proficiency in database modeling software such as ERWIN and ER/Studio
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR, ASH, and Dynatrace
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and migration processes, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC)
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, or Talend
- Experience using version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL databases
- English proficiency at B2 level (Upper-Intermediate) or higher, both written and spoken
