Responsibilities
- Work alongside stakeholders to understand business priorities, gather requirements, and define project goals
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions to uncover valuable insights
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose creative, data-driven solutions to meet organizational objectives
- Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and lead sessions for gathering requirements and feedback
- Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including user stories, use cases, and project specifications
- Act as the key liaison between business teams and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Convert business needs into actionable technical specifications for engineering teams
- Support solution implementation and testing to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and expectations
- Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and timely delivery
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a BI Analyst, with preference given to candidates with insurance industry expertise
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and writing prototype queries, including joins, aggregates, and basic window functions
- Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, Data Lakes, Data Marts, star and snowflake schemas, and fact versus dimension table structures
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau for creating dashboards and data visualizations
- Knowledge of data quality principles such as accuracy, consistency, completeness, and timeliness, along with experience validating or testing reports
- Ability to translate business objectives into KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks
- Experience analyzing data models, including ER diagrams and understanding relationships between entities
- Familiarity with master data, reference data, and metadata management practices
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to independently suggest ideas, improvements, and effective solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- English proficiency at a B2 level or higher to support seamless collaboration

- In-depth understanding of insurance industry workflows and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience with additional business intelligence tools or a willingness to explore emerging technologies in data analytics
