Responsibilities
- Conduct cost/benefit evaluations to align technology with business goals
- Collect and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
- Engage in pre-sales efforts as a technical architect promoting solution options
- Direct development of new features within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS
- Resolve technical issues utilizing industry best practices in application development
- Perform hands-on front-end and back-end development tasks
- Assess the impact of application changes and support integration and solution design
- Provide guidance on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, and Application Extension Methodology
- Estimate work efforts related to SAP development, Basis, DevOps, and architecture
- Develop solution architecture documents and detailed work breakdown structures
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years in SAP ABAP development with at least 3 years in a Solution Architect capacity
- Familiarity with SAP portfolio areas including ERP, Finance, CRM, and Supply Chain Management
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform products and environments such as Cloud Foundry and Kyma/Kubernetes
- Experience in designing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA and SaaS extensibility models including In-App, On-Stack, and Side-by-Side
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- English proficiency at upper-intermediate level for effective teamwork
- Capability to lead technical project aspects and provide architectural direction
Nice to have
- Understanding of IT architecture frameworks like TOGAF and ITABoK
- Experience with SAP methodologies such as SAP Activate and RISE/GROW with SAP
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP BTP services including SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Build Process Automation
- Skills in programming languages including Java, JavaScript, and Groovy
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
