Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, encouraging collaboration and professional development
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Optimize DNS and traffic management using technologies such as Azure Traffic Manager
- Design and manage fault-tolerant infrastructure leveraging regions and availability zones
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Build automated workflows and processes using scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell
- Ensure real-time monitoring and analytics through platforms like Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, or Google Operations Suite
- Collaborate across teams to align DevOps practices with project objectives and timelines
- Adhere to DevOps principles by ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in infrastructure and software development
- Support Agile practices through participation in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in DevOps roles
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in cloud-based DevOps tools like Azure DevOps and Terraform
- Proficiency in Kubernetes setup, configuration, and deployment for container orchestration
- Knowledge of DNS and traffic management technologies like Azure Traffic Manager
- Competency in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell and familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, or C#)
- Understanding of database technologies like Microsoft SQL or MySQL
- Familiarity with unified monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, or Google StackDriver/Operations Suite
- Experience designing scalable and fault-tolerant cloud architectures utilizing availability zones and regions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
- English proficiency at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Kubernetes Service
- Advanced scripting experience with Python or Ruby
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
