Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend code
- Build back-end microservices and REST APIs
- Unit test code for quality assurance
- Conduct code reviews to uphold standards
- Follow best practices such as code review, unit testing and CI
- Take part in Scrum ceremonies and Agile processes
- Join estimation and planning sessions
- Mentor other developers and collaborate with peers
- Read and understand existing codebases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar; Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years Java development experience
- Hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Framework
- Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven programming
- Understanding of secure backend services and API design
- Familiarity with Agile framework and Scrum ceremonies
- Strong collaboration skills for cross-team work with DevOps and QA
- Proficient English (C1 - Advanced level)
Nice to have
- Experience with WebLogic application server
- Familiarity with ReactJS for front-end development
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
