Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Oracle databases

Monitor, tune, and optimize database performance to ensure high efficiency

Manage database backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery plans

Implement and maintain database security measures and manage user access controls

Set up and maintain replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions

Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting and tools

Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to minimize downtime

Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices

Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate database solutions into infrastructure workflows

Collaborate with development teams to support application requirements and deployments

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a database administrator or engineer in a production environment

Advanced hands-on experience with administration of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and upgrades

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell or Python for automating database tasks and processes

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI for automating database deployments and updates

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible for managing database infrastructure

Experience using monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack to track database health and performance

Knowledge of cloud database services including AWS RDS, Azure Database, or Google Cloud SQL for deploying and managing databases in cloud environments

Strong expertise in implementing database security, replication, and high-availability solutions to ensure data integrity and uptime

Excellent English communication skills (B2+ level or higher) and experience in direct client or stakeholder communications
