Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines using AWS services
- Implement data ingestion processes and optimize data consistency and performance
- Write efficient, maintainable Python code and ensure compliance with coding standards
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure (e.g., ECS, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Serverless, Glue, DynamoDB, EMR) using Terraform
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and automate data processing workflows
- Update documentation and knowledge bases to support team collaboration
- Champion AI technology adoption and Agile practices within the team
- Mentor and support junior engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in enterprise cloud application development, with a focus on AWS and Terraform
- Expertise in AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3, ETL/ELT), Python, and infrastructure as code
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and working in Agile teams
- Effective communication skills (English B2+)
- Ability to work flexible hours until 11 EST
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, and RDS
- Familiarity with monitoring/analytics tools (New Relic, Splunk), Cribl Stream, and Metabase
