Responsibilities
- Analyze, optimize, and tune SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and overall database performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance bottlenecks and implement efficient solutions
- Fine-tune large, complex SQL queries to improve efficiency and reduce execution time
- Ensure the data warehouse architecture supports scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Design, develop, and modify SSIS packages to meet business requirements and improve ETL processes
- Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of database issues and SSIS workflows
- Implement best practices in database design, indexing, and query optimization
- Monitor databases and ETL workflows to ensure consistent and reliable performance
- Document technical processes, workflows, and design specifications
- Develop and maintain automated solutions for data validation, cleansing, and integration processes
- Assist in designing and maintaining data warehouse models, including star and snowflake schemas
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality database solutions and adherence to best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data integration roles
- Residence in Ukraine (remote work eligible only for candidates based in Ukraine)
- Proven experience with SQL Server (2019 or later preferred), including advanced performance tuning and optimization skills
- Proficiency in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL development and maintenance
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and RDBMS architecture
- Familiarity with data warehouse design concepts such as star schema and snowflake schema
- Knowledge of indexing strategies, query execution plans, and optimization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
