Responsibilities
- Design applications utilizing large language models (LLMs) and generative AI technologies
- Implement prompt engineering strategies and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Build frameworks to evaluate model performance, safety, and alignment
- Establish seamless interfaces between generative AI models and production systems
- Develop mechanisms and safeguards to ensure responsible AI implementation
- Maintain an updated understanding of generative AI research and emerging best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in building applications featuring generative AI models
- Expertise in prompt engineering techniques and RAG methodologies
- Proficiency in Python (experience with asynchronous programming is highly preferred)
- Skills in working with modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain)
- Familiarity with vector databases and embedding models
- Understanding of responsible AI principles and strategies to mitigate hallucinations
- Competency in cloud-based AI services (OpenAI API, Azure AI, etc.)
Nice to have
- Background in developing use cases across multiple business domains such as life sciences, finance, and insurance
- Familiarity with LLM tracing, evaluation datasets, and experiment management
- Experience in assessing RAG-based or related LLM systems
- Knowledge of automated prompt optimization tools (e.g., dspy)
- Flexibility to rapidly prototype solutions tailored to specific needs
