About the Role: You play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of products is of the highest level. You’re not afraid to challenge the norm but are also able to take on feedback and work in collaboration with our engineering, product, and operations team bringing your previous experience to the table. With your technical expertise, you build a strong test automation foundation for the whole FrankieOne platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the way. As a senior, you play a significant role in leading QE across Frankie and work with other members of the team to get their input.
• Coach and mentor both junior and senior members of the team, peer reviewing their work and supporting their development by sharing your knowledge and experience in aspects of End to End, Performance, and User Scenario testing.
• Be proactive. You contribute to building our quality processes and tweak them over time to ensure they are relevant and best of breed.
• Review requirements, technical specifications, and highlight any gaps.
• Sleeves rolled up. You undertake test planning and execution activities across all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Prepare test designs, test cases, test data, and other testing assets, executing tests, logging test results, and following up defects through to resolution.
• Review test documentation produced by others in the team to help ensure appropriate test coverage is achieved.
• Be a team player. You work alongside and communicate well with the broader organisation, especially your fellow squad (made up of engineers, delivery lead, product manager).
• Understand how the service will be built, how best to integrate testing from the outset, and help define ‘done’!
• Own automation. You use your understanding of quality risk and are able to help prioritise automation efforts for the greatest return on investment.
• Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality and tell us what you need in place to be successful - tools or otherwise!
• Think outside the box. You have creative thinking skills, a passion for problem solving, and are able to troubleshoot bugs and perform complex system tests.
• You’re naturally detail-oriented and have a passion for seeing things through to the end.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 Years Building Test Automation
• Backend (API) (Rest and Asynchronous requests)
• Frontend (UI)
• Manual Testing Experience
• Functional testing
• Understanding Requirements of Features
• Driving Test Driven Development (TDD) in Team Culture
• Non-functional testing: API Performance (API and Scenario Reports)

Required Skills:

• Experience in building and maintaining framework for UI and API test automation (Cypress/Playwright/Karate using BDD methodology)
• Coding and scripting expertise in any programming language (preferably Linux based Shells, Python or JavaScript)
• Experience in performance testing and reporting using K6/Prometheus/Grafana stacks
• Curious to learn new and adopt technologies and trends
• Ability to handle Defect Management
• Well versed with agile methodologies
• Clear understanding of business requirements
• Fair understanding of continuous delivery
• Understanding of docker platform
• Basic understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipeline
• Ability to develop Testing Strategies for Architecture Patterns and Features
• Good communication skills
• Experience in presenting to small groups (aka in the team) as well as broader audiences (aka the whole company)

• AWS Certification (Associate or Professional level)
• Coaching & Mentoring Experience
• Working with other QA to develop best practices in the QA Pipeline
• Encouraging other Engineering members to develop better QA practices
• Team Leadership Experience
• You have led a group of QAs or Engineers to develop features or products
• Experience doing Platform Security/Penetration Testing
