About the role

Bamboo is hiring for a Chief Meme Officer (CMO) intern. We’re targeting marketing, business, and design students / graduates looking to put their creativity to work!

The role will involve creating memes and being responsible for tapping into trends on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Youtube, X, Linked-in and Facebook. It’s important that the candidate embodies Bamboo’s brand to promote our mission.

This is for an initial 100-hour internship over a 12-week period. This is also a paid role.

What You'll Be Doing:

As our Chief Meme Officer, you will be at the forefront of Bamboo's social media strategy, responsible for injecting humour and relatability into the world of crypto.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to:

• Conceptualise and create original, on-brand memes for Bamboo and the Crypto Curious Podcast across various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X).
• Tap into trending topics and viral formats to create timely and engaging meme content.
• Understand and embody Bamboo's brand voice and the tone of the Crypto Curious Podcast to ensure all memes are aligned and effective.
• Explore innovative ways to use memes to educate and engage audiences about cryptocurrency and Bamboo's services.
• Stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving landscape of internet culture, meme trends, and social media algorithms.
• Potentially contribute to other creative content initiatives as needed.
• Document your story at Bamboo on social media

What We're Looking For:

• A genuine passion for internet culture and a deep understanding of meme formats and trends. You know what's funny, what's shareable, and what gets people talking online.
• Exceptional creativity and originality. You can come up with fresh and engaging meme ideas that haven't been seen before.
• Strong visual communication skills. You have an eye for design and can create high-quality, visually appealing memes (basic design skills are a plus).
• Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X) and their unique audiences. Invest today’s change in tomorrow™
• An understanding of or a keen interest in cryptocurrency and the tech innovation space (don't worry if you're crypto-curious, we can help with that!).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate your creative ideas.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently within a flexible, remote environment.

• Experience creating viral content.
• Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma).
• Active presence on social media platforms.
