This is a Director - Industrial Decarbonisation role with Greenhouse based in Sydney, NSW, AU

We are seeking a Director – Industrial Decarbonisation & Innovation to lead Greenhouse’s most ambitious industrial decarbonisation initiatives. This senior role blends visionary strategy with hands-on delivery, placing you at the forefront of industrial transformation. You will design and execute programs that accelerate the adoption of breakthrough climate technologies, build high-value partnerships with industry and government, and establish Greenhouse as a leader in industrial decarbonisation both nationally and globally. You'll be responsible for

🔹 Strategy & Innovation

You will shape and implement Greenhouse’s industrial decarbonisation agenda, building on existing programs while expanding into new frontier sectors including sustainable aviation fuel, agriculture, and digital infrastructure.

🔹 Program Development & Delivery

A central part of this work involves curating and facilitating workshops, roundtables, and working groups that bring together industry leaders, government representatives, and innovators to collaborate on real-world solutions.

🔹 Partnerships & Business Development

You will build and manage strategic partnerships with corporates, government agencies, philanthropies, and global delegations. Leading the full lifecycle of collaborations from proposition design to activation.

🔹Events & Ecosystem Engagement

Through the curation of high-impact events and active engagement across the ecosystem, you will showcase innovation, attract new collaborators, and drive meaningful progress on industrial decarbonisation.

🔹Team & Culture

By contributing to a high-performing and values-driven environment, you will help ensure Greenhouse continues to lead the way in climate action and industrial transformation.

Skills you'll need

🔹 Proven experience in this space

Proven experience (7+ years) in industrial decarbonisation, climate tech, or sustainability innovation, ideally in senior program leadership or partnerships.

🔹Track record in program management

Track record of designing and delivering high-impact programs with measurable outcomes.

🔹Stakeholder engagement

Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work across government, corporates, and innovators.

🔹Knowledge of decarbonisation pathways

Knowledge of climate technologies and industrial decarbonisation pathways.

🔹Communication

Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.

🔹Strategy and problem solving

Strategic, analytical, and creative problem-solving mindset.

🔹Business development experience

Experience in business development, partnership activation, or revenue generation.

🔹Collaborative leadership style

Collaborative leadership style with experience in building and mentoring teams.
