DCM & Syndicate Associate / Senior Associate

Key member of the DCM and Syndicate team including coverage of customers, transaction origination and execution to ensure that we are the market leader in the execution and origination of A$/NZ$ denominated debt and Asset Backed Securities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Senior DCMS team members on the origination and execution side
• Assisting in the facilitation of information flow between Sydney, London, New Zealand and New York as it relates to market updates, pitches, the maintenance of various databases for both Syndicate & Origination
• Client coverage and origination responsibilities as agreed between reporting manager(s)
• Liaise with key business stakeholders across the Institutional Bank including FM ICG, & FICC, Credit & Market Risk, Treasury and CIB Industry teams
• Preparation of pitch books, term sheets, chart packs, databases, briefings, investor presentations, regular syndicate desk commentaries
• Assist and support operational excellence with regard to meeting DCM&S policies and procedures and Financial Markets compliance plans

Key Strengths

• Required for this role
• Preferred 1-2yrs experience in Debt Capital Markets
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Practical grounding in fixed income securities and a basic understanding of the Australian debt securities markets
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, VBA and PowerPoint
• Proven experience working effectively in a global team environment
