The Category Buying team works closely with the Planning team to drive sales, maximise profit, manage intake and ensure forward-thinking, of-the-moment ranges engage our customers.
As the Category Buyer – Women’s Footwear, you will report to the Senior Category Buyer. You will support department strategy, vision and budget planning and assist with the purchasing and procurement of goods required by the business. You will also support sales growth within your category in line with our commercial strategy.

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Established Category Buyer – Women’s to join our dynamic commercial team.
In this exciting role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping the women’s category — curating assortments that reflect the latest trends and meet the evolving needs of our customers. About the Role
You will:
- Understand and drive company-wide strategies and OKRs
- Conduct market research to stay up to date with the latest e-commerce trends and make recommendations on product and brand selection
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock availability
- Evaluate vendor performance, including selection, deactivation and exit processes
- Negotiate favourable commercial terms across commission-based (Platform) and OTB-based (Wholesale) vendors
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and industry regulations
- Maintain accurate vendor records including brand plans, SKU lists, department brand profile matrices and tiering profiles
- Identify opportunities to improve the onsite customer experience
- Analyse data, interpret trends and make informed, evidence-based decisions
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose effective procurement and platform strategies
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships
- Support vendor onboarding and provide ongoing relationship management
- Collaborate with key brands to build and optimise assortments
- Manage underperforming brands and propose improvement strategies
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, particularly across complex contract terms
- Partner proactively with Marketing on GTM and promotional opportunities to drive sales
- Develop and implement strategic roadmaps aligned to commercial strategy, brand adjacencies and customer segments
- Build strong internal relationships across Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations and Finance
- Communicate clearly, effectively and concisely
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Adapt to changes in the market and industry
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Buyer in a high-volume retail environment
- Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
