Bonboo Integration Specialist

Location: This position will be based at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, 2314.

Details: The Air-to-Surface Coordinator (ASC) is a subject matter expert in Exercise Control (EXCON) for the planning and application of core and enabling roles of Air Mobility and Force Projection. The ASC serves as the central point of contact between exercise planners and Army, Special Forces, Navy, Coalition, and other participants, ensuring their learning objectives (LOs) and priorities are understood and integrated into the Live and Synthetic (L&S) exercise design and execution under EXCON oversight.

Responsibilities: The ASC supports exercise design, planning, and execution by engaging Joint and Combined stakeholders in the Live and Synthetic domains:

• Act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) between exercise planners, Army, Special Forces, Navy, Coalition, and relevant participants.
• Communicate execution requirements for each community and ensure they are captured in exercise planning.
• Coordinate requirements including airspace/ground space, data link/frequency requirements, and Space/Cyber effects.
• Provide input to SOE and BR documentation.
• Provide oversight during exercise documentation development.
• Maintain POC position for participants during exercise execution.
• Coordinate execution of plans and advise modifications when required.
• Coordinate specific requirements outside Fast Jet operations.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Facilitate specialised training outcomes for Intelligence, Air Land Integration, Cyber or Space.
• Conduct duties required in planning, conduct and management of L&S training exercises.

Essential Skills And Knowledge

• ADF Enlisted or Commissioned Officer with recent operational and tactical level experience.
• Military aviation operations experience.
• Deep understanding of Air‑to‑Surface capabilities and limitations.

Desirable Skills And Knowledge

• Air Warfare Instructor Course (AWIC) graduate.
• Multi‑platform operations experience.
• Cross Australian Defence Organisation experience.
• Joint operational and/or exercise experience.
• Air Operations Centre (or equivalent) experience.
• L&S training and operations experience.
• Distributed mission training experience.

Employment Requirements And Skills

• Australian citizenship.
• Experience in ADF Operational Capability environments, Test or Tactics Development frameworks; and
• Large Force Employment & Mission Command experience.

Security Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible to reinstate AGSVA Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
• Must meet ITAR requirements.
• Must be eligible for AUSTEO access.
• Must be eligible for SAP access.

Total Renumeration Package Range: $240,000 - $260,000 includes Superannuation. p.a. Full-time basis, including regular employee leave allowances and benefits.
