Marketing & Comms Specialist (AI-literate) — Adelaide
Most marketing roles are about filling a content calendar. This one isn't.
What 11point2 Does
We partner with large organisations - energy, infrastructure, defence, research, transportation - to rapidly identify, test, and accelerate ideas that positively impact their future. We're not advisors who hand over a strategy deck and leave. We embed, we execute, and we deliver validated outcomes with entrepreneurial discipline.
The work is complex. The stakes are high. And none of it matters if the market doesn't hear about it.
That's where you come in.
What you'll own
Your priority is narrative packaging: taking what we do and making it travel. That means:
To be clear about what's not on your plate: you won't be running paid media, managing events, or doing graphic design. This is a writing, positioning, and systems role.
Why this role is different
11point2 is building something genuinely new in this market. Technology is playing a deeper role in how we work and what we deliver - and the ventures we help spin out are creating new stories to tell from day one. The comms function isn't a support role. It's a growth lever.
You're not starting from scratch - we've already built the foundations. The voice is defined, the AI-assisted content pipeline exists, and the strategic direction is set. Your job is to take what's been built, make it yours, and scale it. As the company grows, the comms function grows with it. For an ambitious marketing and comms person, this is the kind of role where you inherit a running start and turn it into something bigger.

What you'll own
Your priority is narrative packaging: taking what we do and making it travel. That means:
- LinkedIn and content strategy - sharp posts, consistent cadence, real engagement. Not thought leadership theatre.
- Case studies and one-pagers - translating client wins into sales enablement assets that actually get used.
- Email campaigns - writing and running targeted email sequences that landm nurture flows, client updates, event follow-ups. Content that earns the open and the click, not filler that gets archived.
- Website and service offer clarity - keeping our positioning tight and current across every surface.
- Content operations - building and running the workflows so ideas move to published with minimal friction.
- Market intelligence - tracking what's keeping executives up at night across energy, infrastructure, and defence. Not generic sector news — the strategic pressures, shifting priorities, and emerging risks that make leaders question whether they'll still be relevant in five years. You surface the angles worth our take and turn them into content that proves we understand their world.
To be clear about what's not on your plate: you won't be running paid media, managing events, or doing graphic design. This is a writing, positioning, and systems role.

Success in 90 days
- 30 days: You understand our offers, sectors, and voice. You've embedded with the team, sat in on client conversations, and mapped the story landscape. You're shipping 2 posts per week. You've drafted your first case study. The content pipeline is taking shape.
- 60 days: A repeatable workflow is live — intake → draft → approval → publish → measure. You've established the voice and positioning principles with the co-founders and can run without constant review. Website and service pages are refreshed. Two one-pagers are in market. Your first email sequence is live and you're tracking performance.
- 90 days: Consistent cadence is running and you own it. You're tracking leading indicators — profile visits, inbound enquiries, content engagement — and adjusting based on what's working. The content operation feels like a system, not a scramble.
Who you are
- 2–4 years of hands-on marketing or comms — you've shipped real work, not just supported it
- Strong commercial writing: you can take complex work and make it simple without dumbing it down
- Taste and judgment — you know what's worth saying, what isn't, and why
- Experience writing email campaigns that people actually read — nurture sequences, targeted outreach, or client comms that drive action, not just fill inboxes
- You've already built at least one repeatable content workflow using AI — not just prompting and calling it a system
- Experience building automations in Make, n8n, or equivalent
- Background in B2B, professional services, or technical sectors
- Familiarity with energy, infrastructure, or defence
- Working knowledge of HubSpot
- Growth team member — you're a key part of a small, capable, and ambitious growth team. Not a lone marketer reporting into ops.
- Content approval — your first job is to establish the framework. The co-founder owns the external voice, others own industry positioning. Get the principles locked in with these people, and you'll have the autonomy to execute at pace.
- Client-facing — yes. You'll interview internal teams and participate in client-facing meetings. You contribute directly — this isn't a back-office content role.
- Team context — what we do is novel in the market, and we have the high-level plan in place. Now is execution time. You'll work closely with leadership to evolve the messaging as technology plays a bigger role in what we do and how we deliver it.
- Location: Adelaide-based, hybrid.
