About the Role (What You'll Be Doing)

You are a writer, and will be the voice and storyteller of Juniper. Reporting to the Creative Ops Lead and working in partnership with an Associate Creative Director - Art, your mission is to craft the narratives that bring our brand to life—translating complex USPs into compelling, easy-to-understand stories that resonate with women and elevate the perception of our brand.

Your role is Craft Excellence & Creative Storytelling. Together with the Associate Creative Director - Art, you will lead the creative vision, develop the narratives we need to tell, own the quality of all copy, and ensure that everything from a static social ad to a high-impact TVC feels unmistakably premium and purposeful.

You're also expected to bring fresh thinking, finding innovative ways to tell our stories and keeping our advertising feeling new and culturally relevant.

We'll also expect you to:

  • Own Copy Standards Across All Channels: Set and maintain the quality bar for all written content. Every asset—DR social, OOH, TVC, email, web—should reflect world-class copywriting that elevates brand perception.
  • Build Quality Systems, Not Bottlenecks: Establish processes, guidelines, and feedback loops that ensure we have 99% confidence that everything shipped meets Juniper's standards—whether you've personally reviewed it or not. You won't review every piece of copy, but you'll create the conditions where the team ships confidently and consistently at the right level.
  • Craft the Narratives We Need to Tell: Develop the stories that make our USPs come alive. Take complex product benefits, clinical insights, and brand positioning and turn them into compelling narratives that are easy to understand and impossible to ignore.
  • Translate Product into Story: Work closely with the Brand Strategy Lead to understand what we need to communicate—efficacy, trust, relevance, value—then figure out how to tell those stories in ways that feel human, relatable, and credible.
  • Drive Creative Innovation: Push the boundaries of how we communicate. Bring new angles, formats, and storytelling techniques that keep our messaging fresh and prevent creative fatigue. You're not here to repeat what's worked—you're here to evolve it.
  • Lead Brand Voice & Messaging: Ensure that copy choices actively communicate Juniper's message and maintain our distinctive voice. Every headline, every line of body copy should work hard while feeling authentically Juniper.
  • Lead Creative Direction in Partnership: Partner with the Associate Creative Director - Art to develop campaign concepts and big ideas, provide creative direction, and own the execution of all creative work. You're equals in the creative process—concept through to delivery.
  • Coach & Develop the Copywriting Team: Lead, mentor, and upskill junior and mid-weight copywriters. Provide constructive, craft-focused feedback that helps them grow, internalise quality standards, and ship confidently without constant oversight.
  • Champion Brand Perception Through Words: Understand that in women's health, trust is built through empathy, clarity, and authenticity. Every word choice should reinforce that Juniper is a premium, supportive partner.
  • Balance Speed with Craft: Work with the team to deliver high volumes of copy without compromising quality. Know when to push for excellence and when to ship and iterate.
  • Set the Creative Culture: Model what great looks like. Bring energy, rigour, and high standards to every project. You're not just managing output—you're shaping how the team approaches creativity.

About You (Who You Are)

  • Senior-Level Craft Leader & Storyteller: 7+ years in copywriting roles with experience operating at a creative director level. You have a proven track record of translating complex ideas into compelling, accessible stories across digital, social, OOH, and TVC.
  • Natural Storyteller: You know how to find the human truth in a product benefit. You can take clinical language and turn it into something relatable. You make the complex feel simple and the technical feel emotional.
  • Systems Thinker: You know how to build quality into the process, not just catch it at the end. You've set up teams to ship great work at scale without you being a bottleneck.
  • Creatively Curious & Innovative: You're constantly exploring new ways to tell stories. You bring fresh angles and ideas to the table and know how to adapt cultural moments into ownable brand messaging.
  • Obsessed with Quality: You believe that craft is non-negotiable. You notice the details—the word choice, the rhythm, the tone shift—and you've trained teams to notice them too.
  • Natural Coach & Mentor: You genuinely enjoy developing talent. You know how to give feedback that's constructive, specific, and empowering. Copywriters leave your reviews excited to improve, not deflated.
  • True Creative Partner: You thrive working as part of a creative director duo. You value the push-and-pull of great collaboration and know how to make both copy and design stronger together.
