Business Development Representative

InvestorHub is seeking a results-oriented, customer-focused, and process-driven Business Development Representative to join its high performance team in Melbourne.

It’s not a traditional phone-based BDR position, rather a unique strategic and analytical role to re-define approaches to business development.

As part of a high-performing, agile team consisting of Account Executives, Associate Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, you'll contribute to developing effective sales processes and strategies. You'll have the chance to influence how our sales function evolves, ensuring it meets the needs of our market and supports our growth.

Our BDR team has already shown significant success in overhitting the quota and driving value for the company. We’re looking for someone to continue to push and lift this standard.

This role offers significant growth potential, allowing you to drive change and make a substantial impact on our sales operations. Your contributions will be vital in shaping a high-performing team and driving our success.

What Success Looks Like

In the first month, you will…

  • Become familiar with our product offering and internal processes
  • Learn about listed capital markets, including capital raising, investor relations, market engagement best practices, and relevant regulations
  • Complete our SDR training program and begin directly contributing to the sales pipeline by the end of the first month

In the next few months, you will…

  • Understand our market (proactively undertake research and analysis) and tailor and elevate the way we engage with prospects, clients and the broader market.
  • Continue refining your sales process and become a high-performing member of the sales team
  • Shadow Account Executives and Associate AEs to gain full visibility of the sales cycle
  • Become deeply proficient in capital markets, capital raising, and investor relations
  • Master the tools and systems used across our sales function
  • Contribute to improving the sales process and messaging with fresh insights

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with potential customers through outreach and follow-ups
  • Move quality leads through the sales funnel and schedule meetings with Account Executives
  • Research and prospect ASX-listed companies, identifying key decision-makers, and generating interest in our offerings
  • Build relationships with prospects to uncover needs through effective questioning
  • Maintain accurate sales data and documentation by using tools including Hubspot
  • Test and recommend outreach strategies and best practices to refine how we do sales
  • Collaborate with Marketing to improve targeting and messaging
  • Work closely with Account Executives and Associate AEs on lead handover and first calls
