Role Overview

Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage senior finance professionals in a project focused on improving AI performance on financial analysis, modeling, and research tasks. This work involves applying real-world expertise from equity research, investment banking, accounting, or credit/fixed income research to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs. The project emphasizes structured thinking, financial accuracy, and high-quality written communication. This is a part-time, project-based opportunity with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated financial analyses, models, and written outputs
• Develop and apply structured evaluation rubrics for finance-related tasks
• Annotate trajectories to assess reasoning quality and analytical accuracy
• Provide written feedback to improve clarity, correctness, and depth of financial content
• Contribute domain expertise across filings, valuation, and financial modeling workflows

Ideal Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, accounting, or credit/fixed income research
• Hands-on experience with financial filings and financial modeling
• Strong written English with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
• Prior experience creating or applying rubrics in finance-related projects
• Completion of at least one prior Mercor project with strong performance
• Experience with trajectory annotation is a plus

• Expected commitment: 15–20 hours per week
• Work independently while collaborating with a distributed network of professionals

Contract and Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
