Inventory Planner & Operations Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Junior Inventory & Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of The Monda Company.

Who Is This Role For

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail, numbers, systems, problem-solving, and variety. You may have 1–2 years’ experience in operations, supply chain, data analytics, buying, or a similar role, and you’re ready to take on more ownership in a growing business.

Working side-by-side with our Founder, you’ll gain an 'MBA in real-time,' learning how different business functions intersect. We are looking for someone who wants to grow as fast as we are and is eager to take on the leadership opportunities that come with our expansion.

What you'll be doing

Working at the heart of a scaling startup means no two days are the same. You’ll wear multiple hats, contributing to the operational glue that holds our business activities together. To succeed, you’ll need to be highly organized, detail-focused, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks without losing sight of the details.

Sales Order Fulfilment & Shipment Coordination: You handle orders like a pro, making sure they are processed accurately, fulfilled smoothly, and communicated clearly across the team. You coordinate with the warehouse on picking, packing, stock movement, and dispatch, ensuring products are in the right place at the right time. You are the primary support of warehouse team ensuring they have adequate supplies, etc.

Database Management: You keep our inventory system clean, accurate, and up to date. You understand that good data keeps the business moving, and you take pride in making sure item details, stock information, supplier records, and operational notes are maintained properly.

Inventory Management & Replenishment: You are always across our inventory, monitoring stock levels, reviewing replenishment needs, and identifying potential stock issues before they become a problem. You are proactive in flagging low stock, following up on incoming orders, and helping make sure we have the right products available when we need them.

Supplier Coordination & Commercial Support: You build strong working relationships with our suppliers and help keep production moving by following up on timelines, purchase orders, pricing, and stock availability. You are commercially aware, detail-focused, and confident asking the right questions to keep things on track.

The Startup Mindset: You’re a hands-on doer who is happy to jump in where needed, whether that means helping process orders, supporting the warehouse, visiting stores for a launch, or solving an unexpected issue. You enjoy variety and are comfortable working in a business where priorities can shift quickly.

Standard Operating Procedures: You help keep our processes clear, organized, and easy to follow. You support the creation and improvement of SOPs, spot gaps in workflows, and help us build systems that can scale as the business grows.

Overall

  • Process Automation: You identify repetitive tasks, suggest better ways of working, and help improve systems as the business grows.
  • Advanced Data Tooling: Use your Advanced Excel skills to conduct analysis and contribute to building onto our replenishment logic.
  • Take Initiative: Your willingness to get involved in new projects, take initiative and successfully manage your responsibilities to completion is very important.
  • Independent Problem Solving: You are quick to solve problems on the spot, and fearless when it comes to overcoming the impossible.

Requirements

  • Extremely Detail Orientated: This role requires you to be very detail orientated and good with numbers.
  • Work Experience: 1-2 years in operations, inventory planning demand forecasting, or buying role. Retail experience in any capacity is a major plus.
  • Education: Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Accountancy, or a related field.
  • Excel: Strong Excel skills, including confidence with formulas, pivot tables, and working with structured data. Advanced Excel skills such as macros are a plus.
  • Commercial Instinct: You have a keen understanding of business fundamentals.
  • Communication: You're not afraid to pick up the phone to get things done.
  • Team Mindset: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Warehouse: Happy to provide hands-on warehouse support when needed. The warehouse is a 10-minute walk from the office, and this is a mandatory part of the role.

Major plus

  • ERP Systems: Experience with ERP or inventory systems such as Zoho Inventory, SAP, NAV, NetSuite, Cin7, or similar.
  • Global Logistics: Familiarity with international shipping, customs regulations, and coordinating with overseas factories is a plus.
  • Other Experience: Experience in retail, wholesale, consumer products

  • Full Time Position
  • Office is located in Sydney CBD Based Startup Hub - 2 min walk from Central Station
  • Must be located in Sydney, Australia with unrestricted working rights
