Hatch
Software Engineering, Data Science
Australia
AUD 65-65 / hour
Hatch is looking for subsurface and reservoir engineering professionals to support an AI research project with one of our partners through flexible, hourly contract work.
This is not a traditional job. You'll draw on your hands-on experience with reservoir characterisation, modelling, and forecasting to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand how subsurface engineers actually work across conventional and unconventional oil & gas assets.
Note: This role is not with Hatch. It is with a partner AI lab.
Key details
- Start: Immediate
- Pay: $65 AUD per hour
- Duration: 3-week project, with the possibility of extension
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week; no minimum hours

You will be asked to complete real work tasks in a structured format, independently producing expert-level analytical work using the tools and workflows from your professional practice. This could include building static or dynamic reservoir models, generating production forecasts and reserves estimates, or interpreting petrophysical logs.
