The opportunity
Ingenico develops payment terminal hardware and software to support internal and external partners in their acceptance of transactions and acquiring business.
From the terminal software side, regional teams are responsible for the development of the different layers from the HAL, operation systems, platform frameworks and payment applications.
This job opportunity is located in the team writing applications for the Iberia markets.
The team is responsible for the complete chain of the development of applications on the Android payment terminals: from customer request analysis, analysis of the payment scheme specifications, technical roadmap, development, testing delivery and technical support.
To accomplish this journey, we are looking for highly technically skilled Android developers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

Analysis of customer requirements and/or use cases to evaluate their feasibility

Collaboration with other team members and other departments
-
Designing and development on Ingenico Android terminals
-
Liaising with quality team on issue resolution
-
Applying development principles throughout the entire product lifecycle using Agile methodology

Providing support and documentation
Skills we can’t do without:
-
At least 5 years of experience in an Android developer role.

Have worked in Android projects within complex architectures
-
Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering. Diplomas from Higher Technical Institutes.

Good knowledge of the Android environment, especially Kotlin language. Excellent knowledge of software management tools (e.g. Git, Jira, etc…)

Ability to work with product/project managers and stakeholders
-
Autonomy in the development of complex solutions

Good knowledge of English language as well as native Italian

Feel comfortable with priority changes
Skills we’d like:

Knowledge of the payments industry

Experience as a developer of Server solutions (JAVA.NET) RDBMS (e.g. MySQL, SQLServer)

Graphic skills (how to develop graphic features for Android devices)
