DEVOPS ENGINEER
As a Observability Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, designing and building the observability strategy and associated services. It is a great opportunity to build and own from the ground up the observability stack for all applications and infrastructure components, in a cloud native, microservice environment. You will have also make sure these observability services (monitoring, dashboarding, alerting, tracing, etc.) are provided “as a service” for the development team to adopt, consume and integrate into their code and day to day operations. You will also be the advocate for empowering Development teams with E2E ownership of their operational and monitoring duties across all environments, up to Production. You will be responsible for providing and maintaining a robust, scalable and operable monitoring platform and associated services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include to:
- Lead the design, assessment and architecture decisions of the observability solution for the PPaaS Cloud ecosystem
- Build the Observability platform "as a service" for Developers and IT Teams to use and consume with the adequate abstraction required
- Have a key role in provisioning the Observability platform through IAC (Infrastructure as code) and automation, making sure all environments are consistent and tailored
- Provide means and tools for Dev and Platform teams to improve their troubleshooting, dashboarding, monitoring, alerting and performance analysis.
- Actively participate to MTTD & MTTR reduction (respectively mean time to detect and restore)
- Run automated deployments and promotion of your observability solutions through the various environments.
- Advocate DevOps approach and work toward developers autonomy

Experience
- Confirmed experience in analysing current state of DevOps practices and in leading, developing & deploying DevOps practices strategy to big/ medium portfolio
- Experience in setting up a full CI/CD process using Gitlab
- Good Experience with Linux/Unix Systems and cloud. Gitlab CI/CD, Kubernetes (operators, stateful set, helm, Argo CD, flux…)
- Strong experience with Docker Management Platform, Leveraged Custom Docker Images as Containerized Apps within the Docker Engine as Multi Stack Application
Technical skills
- Proven understanding & hands-on experience of Terraform or Ansible as IaaC
- Strong understanding of integrating security and performance tools to CI/CD (Release) pipelines
- Experience with any higher language like Python, YAML, Json.
- Working experience on Public cloud environment
