Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
This position is responsible for the daily Logistics tasks and for the E2E supply chain processes in the Italian Distribution Hub. The main focus is on the Belgium Logistics flow, managed by the Italian team in cooperation with the Belgian colleagues.
Important is a knowledge of all site logistics processes. Understanding market of local forwarders with a huge focus on delivery from the site to the customers using different channels and mixing different types of transportation. Understanding of main Customs processes for Import/Export.
He will be part of the logistics team, reporting to the EMEA Distribution Hub Planning Manager.
The resource is expected to challenge conventional thinking and explore various perspectives with key stakeholders to include, but not limited to, understanding needs for data, analysis, KPIs and regular reporting for the Supply Chain.
Main Focus:
The candidate will have a global overview on the Belgian Supply Chain and will be accountable for:
- Customization Planning for the Belgian demand
- Subco coordination on the customization and shipping tasks
- KPIs
- Pre-invoice calculation
- Warehousing management
- Delivery and transport management
- Interface with Belgian sales dept
- Interface with Belgian technical dept about the tool used for customization
- Interact with customs broker for Import/Export activities
- Management of POD
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the forecast together with the counterpart in the Belgian team
- Transfer the requirements to the subco and chase them for the customization and shipment
- Monitor the ontime delivery
- Create purchase orders and monitor the suppliers lead time
- Monitor and cooperate closely with the local logistics suppliers
- Be the main contact for the Belgian Supply Chain team for all concerns about customization availability and delivery
- Ability to collaborate across many different groups and communicate with multiple key stakeholders of all levels
- Produce and analyze main logistics KPIs
- Produce standard and ad hoc reports as required.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues that arise, and escalate if necessary.
Signs of success:
- Supports success of Supply Chain projects through analysis. Assesses risks, manages timelines, identifies deliverables and any required resources
- Provide recommendations to improve organizational performance
- Identifies opportunities, recommends strategy and implements system changes or business process improvements to improve operations and KPIs
- Maintains best practices to develop data, analysis and standard processes
Skills we can’t do without:
- Requires experience in Logistics, Operations Management, Planning or related fields
- Requires experience in couriers operations management
- Experience working/managing external subco preferred
- Good knowledge of SAP (WM, MM modules)
- Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel skills)
- Requires proficiency typically achieved with 2+ years of business operations
- Requires demonstrated ability to lead project or cross-functional teams to resolve, implement or reach consensus on issues.
- Requires strong facilitation skills.
- English is a must
Education:
- Preferred: logistics training, planning management, customs procedure management
Skills we’d like:
