Functional Overview:

As a Senior QA Engineer you will lead quality assurance efforts within an Agile scrum team, ensuring robust test coverage and effective defect management, with a focus on EFTPOS technology, payment industry standards, and continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks.

What you can expect

• Work in an Agile scrum team, responsible for Quality Assurance, and proactively contribute to all Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Estimation, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and stakeholders to gain clarity on requirements and reporting.
• Define scope, create, and maintain test plans and test strategies; define and maintain test tools for testing and certification.
• Create and review test cases, and manage defects in Jira.
• Execute and review test cases within the test cycle in Jira, analyze results, and report defects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Document and share knowledge across teams.
• Minimize production issues by ensuring adequate test coverage on all testing tasks.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the testing process and automation framework.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and EFTPOS technology.

What we are looking for

• At least 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and 4+ years of experience testing EFTPOS terminals.
• Strong knowledge of the payment industry and financial messaging standards, particularly ISO 8583 and AS2805.
• Proven experience with schemes certification (MC, VISA, EFTPOS, UPI, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in requirements analysis, test planning, and environment setup.
• Proven experience in writing test plans, test strategies, test cases, defect management, and test reporting.
• Experience in API testing and familiarity with API testing tools.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira and X-Ray.
• Strong team-oriented approach, a “can-do” attitude, the ability to work collaboratively to meet tight deadlines and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility.
