Scope
This role is a 6-month maternity leave cover.
As Business controller for the MEA region you act as a true Finance Business partner and support the Country Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial ownership of the profit and loss account, balance sheet and free cash flow – statutory & management books
- Building strong relationships with the senior management team and the board of directors to ensure finance can support and influence the wider business and strategy
- Improving existing processes and systems to drive efficiency
- Ensuring reporting output to senior management and the management board is of the highest standard, easy to understand and fit for purpose.
- Business partner in providing ad hoc support to the Managing Director, FRANCE & EMEA CFO and other senior managers to make decision
- Provide coordination of legal & tax matters as required with related experts
- Relay locally Group Transformation Program and provide ad hoc support to transformation initiatives
- Provide support to the team located remotely in Africa & Middle East
Key Objectives :
- Finance Business Partner supporting the business while ensuring Finance rules are applied
- Timely delivery of accurate financial information
- Clear and easy to understand financial reports and dashboards
- Process improvements
Profile
You have a Master’s degree in Corporate finance from the University or from a Business School and at least 3 years of experience on a similar position. You have a strong level of French and English.
Important technical skills :
- Knowledge of International Accounting Standards
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to use other office suite software such as word processor / outlook etc
- Knowledgeable SAP user mandatory
- (Cognos TM1 an advantage)
